Hi, I’m Fred; Your new Photographer!

Hello and welcome to the homepage of FJD Artistry! My name is Fred J. Donkor and I LOVE taking pictures!

Growing up I was always into arts and crafts, and getting older I got into more sketching and painting and eventually my love for art turned digital. Partway through my college career, I discovered that the school library allowed students to sign out digital cameras and that was the first time I held one.

Fast forward a few years and I started my photography journey taking pictures with my cell phone and they were gorgeous! I thought about starting a photography business with just that, but thankfully I have the kind of friends that tell me when I’m being silly. I invested in my first DSLR and fell in love with the thing! I began FJD Artistry as a way to connect with people and tell their stories. I currently shoot with a Canon R6 Mirrorless Full Frame camera and I don’t think I’ll ever be able to go back to a DSLR. But enough camera talk for now. All-in-all, I am always looking to grow and develop as an artist and as a person. I have over 10 years of customer service experience and I leverage that to build lasting relationships with my clients, and offer the best experiences possible in addition to taking great pictures!
